Leister Heat Source Control Systems
Malcom offers Leister panel mount PID digital programmable temperature controllers for precise temperature control of the Leister heat sources. Malcom Application Engineers can configure a process heating control system to fit your process heating needs. Temperatures can be controlled to within 1°F.
Depending on the heater type, Leister heaters can be controlled from a Leister controller or directly to the customers PLC or temperature controller with either a control voltage signal between 0-10 volts DC when using the Leister Interface, or 4-20 milli amp control signal, depending on the heater. The Malcom Interface unit enables all the Leister LHS System heaters to be controlled directly from customer's temperature controllers or PLC units with a 4-20 milli amp output signal to the heater.
Leister turnkey temperature controllers offer a simple solution that includes the temperature controller built into a compact plastic control box that is pre wired with a power cord for the controller, a output plug for the heater, input mini plug for the thermocouple and two alarm ports.
Malcom offers complete PLC based turnkey control systems designed for the Leister LHS System Heaters and UL approved that includes a heavy duty enclosure for all the control system components, pre-wired with built-in thermocouple and alarm ports, safety interlocks, blower speed controls and air flow confirmation systems. Malcom can program the PLC to suit the customer's process heating needs. Multi zone systems are available up to 4 zones. Larger custom systems can be designed to meet the customer's needs.
Malcom offers airflow controls including frequency drives, airflow adjusters, airflow on/off devices and airflow sensors that can monitor the pressure in the air supply and provide a system to shut the heater down if the airflow or pressure is not sufficient.
