The Leister TWINMAT can be used for overlap welding of geomembrane liners, up to a thickness of 5 mm, consisting of
- PVC-P
- PE-HD
- PE-LD
- PE-C
- PP
- ECB
- EVA
Features
DRIVE:
Bottom to top welding is possible with the TWINMAT's non-slip transmission. Electronic control ensures a constant speed even with voltage fluctuations and ground variation stress.
HEATING SYSTEM:
A stainless steel, moveable hot air wedge comprise the heating system of the TWINMAT. The TWINMAT's heating system also provides a gentle buffer between the base material and melting area, thus reducing temperature-related stress. Moreover, during the welding process, an oxide layer is removed due to contact between the hot air wedge and the surface. Additionally, the temperature can be controlled and adjusted electronically with ease (both SET & ACTUAL temperatures are displayed digitally).
WELDING PRESSURE:
A toggle lever system manages the tension level for the Leister TWINMAT. Welding pressure is matched to the change of the membrane during the welding process, allowing for easy T-Joint welding. The welding pressure can be adjusted using a handwheel.
SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM:
Through continuous monitoring of the welding seam geometry, the TWINMAT speed control system can determine potential welding faults and adjust the speed parameter. However, the speed control system is not needed to complete a welding project. |
