Temperature electronically controlled up to 600°C
The Leister Hot Air Tool Type 3300 and the appropriate blowers are suitable for building into machines and are suitable for continuous use. The double-insulated hot air tool Leister Type 3300 is small and space efficient. The Leister Type 3300 hot air tool is available in many versions as described below. The Leister Type 3300 hot air tool requires an external air supply to complete the process heating hot air system. The Leister Type 3300 hot air tool is available in single-phase 120V, 208-230V and 380-440V, up to 4000 watts.
The standard Leister Type 3300 comes with a potentiometer for fine-tuning the temperature electronically from ambient to 600°C. The Leister Type 3300 hot air tool has a built-in air regulator valve so the air volume can be fine-tuned, as well as an overheating protection system against total failure to protect the heater. If required, the potentiometer can be sited away from the hot air tool, max. lead length 5m.
For precise temperature control with a digital display of set and actual temperatures from the heat gun, the Leister Type 3300 hot air tool can also be supplied with a control cable from the Leister heat gun to the Leister Interface so that this unit can be controlled from a PLC or external temperature controller. A thermocouple can be placed in the hot air stream to provide feedback to the PLC or temperature controller. As another alternative, Malcom can supply the Leister Type 3300 hot air tool with a PID digital temperature controller housed in a compact enclosure that has a built-in female mini plug port for a K Type thermocouple and two alarm output ports, pre-wired with mains power cord, thereby making it turnkey. The auto-tune function in the controller will have to be activated once the heater is mounted in place in order to self-tune the hot air system for the process heat application.
The Leister Type 3300 hot air tool can be supplied without any electronics, heating element protection or airflow controls; however it will have built-in overheating protection. Malcom offers external SCR power controllers, solid state contactors, and a full line of 1/16 DIN digital process controllers.
The air to the Leister Type 3300 heat gun requires an air source to complete the system. The Leister Type 3300 hot air tool can be used with compressed air or blown air from the full line of Leister regenerative and side channel blowers as well as airflow valves and on/off valves. Malcom also offers a full line of high pressure regenerative blowers, rotary vanes, diaphragms, and linear pumps that can be used as well.
Malcom offers many standard stainless hot air nozzle attachments to direct hot air where you want it.
